My router keeps cutting out and blinking. It's not connecting anything sometimes. How do I go about getting an updated router since mine is 5 years old and acting FUNKY?

old timey issue - no dial tone. Background. I have Cox fiber, ONT on the outside of the house. Cable runs up to the network panel in the MBR closet. I plug that into an Eero gateway router. There have been no legitimate problems with this modem-router, but it is when I'm in the middle of doing something and it decides to do this.
