Cox Internet Service crash 5/24/26

Cox internet service crashed for several hours 5/24/26 in West Springfield, VA. When it finally came back up my network/IP address were gone for wireless connections.  Before it crashed I had just finished listening to a program online. I received text messages from Cox three times that they were having service issues in my area, then a final message that all was fixed. I replied NO is wasn't to the text.  I've performed multiple the routine of resetting everything, and the only response I get from Cox is AI feedback to schedule a technician to come out for a problem they created and are sure to charge me for.  I have a business and now I can't connect my client's laptop through my wifi (I'm dead in the water). It would have been nice to talk to a human but there's no way to do that.

Its aggravating, I know. Make sure you powercycle your modem, leaving it powered off for at least 1 full minute.

If you have a separate router, ensure it is powered off, then once the modem is back online, power the router up. Give it another minute, then connect your devices.
