Caller ID mismatch

landline service with Cox.
Need to switch landline service to Cox. My modem has only one port (ethernet) Do I use a port on the router to plug in the landline phone?

Need to Sign in twice to see call history then can't log off.
When I sign in to Cox, then click on Call History, a different sign in scrreen appears and I have to sign in again. When finished with the call history and trying to log off it doesn't work.

Cannot manually block a number
I press *60, then 2, then enter a valid 10 digit number and am told it is an invalid number. But if it was the last number that called and I press # it is successfully blocked but when it is read back to me it puts the number one in front of it, eg, 222-222-2222 is read back as 1-222-222-2222. This

Can’t call Cox or chat
I have been trying for 2 days to get my new service working. I have called a lot & tried using the chat box online. The phones either don’t ring, ring forever with no answer then hang up or have me go through prompts than hang up. I already want to cancel my service since I can’t even use this! How

My caller ID always shows "private" - on my TV and on my phone system, and even when calling the landline from my cell. The call history on phone tools does show the ID
My caller ID always shows "Private Caller" -- even when calling from my own cell phone -- on the TV and on my phone system -- but Phone Tools shows the ID. What gives?
