This almost seems like clockwork; every day these days I'm getting service interruption with a reset of the modem. The modem is receiving things from the world, but goes unheard apparently. My Mac DNS list changed by Google!
Something (Google?) keeps changing the third DNS server to google: 8.8.8.8. I do not want to use google DNS servers, 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, etc. I do have the System Preferences-->Network parameter pad locked, but the third DNS entry gets changed anyway. Any suggestions?

Name says it all. I can ping the domains just fine, but I always get timeouts when trying to load the sites in a browser. Even CNN.com is having issues as the text will load but most of the pictures will not.
