Do you have a Cox wireless TV box?  If yes, connection issues can be caused by the weather or nearby Wi-Fi networks.  Issues can also be caused by your appliances, such as microwaves, Bluetooth devices, halogen lamps, dimmer switches, baby monitors, large metal objects (refrigerator, oven, water heater, etc.) and more.

Issues could also be caused by poor signal strength.  Have you had Cox check that?

When you contact Cox as @JuanC suggested, ask them to verify your TV subscription includes the missing channels.
