Poor quality on Demand

I have noticed that when I watch a show ‘on demand’, (like BBQ Brawl on Food Network or Farmhouse Fixer on HGTV), the picture quality is zoning in and of focus. The video stops at times or doesn’t have sound. To the point where the show is unwatchable.
I can’t make heads and tails of it, because my contour box is working fine otherwise, and all wires are connected.
Does anybody else experience this?
