Paramount+ Streaming Problem Still Does Not Work On Contour Box! Paramount+ Is Clueless Too It Seems!
This is old news but it appears that after 4+ years per what I read on here, it is still not resolved and Paramount+ can't both explain it or figure it out either - despite elevating it to them multiple times now within the last week.
I had the Cox tech come to my home and check everything to include put in a new/updated Contour box which is hard-wired/ethernet from the street to the Contour box. Everything from the Cox side of it was (and is) perfect when he left by testing every metric which he possibly could. Peacock streaming is 100% flawless too.
Except that streaming Paramount+ via the Contour box simply can't work. Buffering 59x for just a one-hour show (not kidding) and recycling thru the same commercials - then going back to the original show selection screen over and over without going to the actual show makes it not possible to watch anything on Paramount+. But logging into Paramount+ on my laptop and steaming via my Cox-provided 500Mbps router/modem works perfectly.
You would think that Paramount+ could solve this problem after 4+ years. I have done all of the standard things which we all know about and to no avail or any success.
I don't know who Paramount+ has answering their tech support phone calls these days but a woman told me recently and I quote, "Paramount+ requires 4,000 - 5,000 Mbps to stream their shows and you only have 500 Mbps so this is YOUR PROBLEM." This is total nonsense as we all know.
So help or any suggestions if anyone had this same problem and managed to solve it! Cox does not seem to be the culprit here but I don't know.
