Is the DVR service still down

As of June 28, was told by support site chatbot and Cox complete care that DVR service is down and was expected to be up at 6pm that night and as of June 29 dvr recording still won’t work and get the XRE-06027 message on screen.

Haven't heard anything about it. Did you check for outages here?

Yes I checked there for outages in area and shows clear but I think that just shows full cable service outages and not sub-systems like DVR outages etc. The service rep I spoke to Tuesday said the dvr outage I was seeing was known and scheduled to be fixed that evening but thinking maybe a reboot needs to happen to recognize the fix. I also cannot schedule recordings via the contour app so who knows…. Thanks for responding!

Try emailing Cox at cox.help@cox.com with your address and a link to this thread. Ask them if they know about the outage and if it's still on going. Sorry I couldn't help.

Have you made any changes to your account recently?  In addition to what WiderMouthOpen suggested, ask them to confirm your account is still set up for DVR service.

Only change was new receiver to fix another issue. Will check on the service on my account. I have sent email per the suggestion above. Thanks for the response as well.

If Cox says the outage is clear, have them check the "bucketing" on your account. This is a page in their customer database that controls what equipment on your account gets which services. If they swapped boxes, maybe the DVR service is assigned to the wrong box.
