Hello. I can certainly understand your concern with video freezing and it is important to us that you are able to enjoy the service that you are subscribed to. Are you experiencing this issue on multiple channels or just one?

Does the freezing occur while watching live TV or during recorded playback when no remote buttons have recently been pressed? Or does it only occur after attempting to enter a remote command such as pause, fast forward, reverse, etc.? If you reboot immediately after a freeze occurs, do the boxes reboot normally?
Freezes can occur when attempting a remote command if there is a poor signal. The remote command is sent to a Cox server that sends back a response. If there's a poor signal, the response won't be received, and the box will freeze. It this occurs during FF, there's not much you can do to stop it, so look away from the screen to avoid spoilers until you're able to reboot and reverse to where you were watching.
If you're watching recorded playback and happen to notice your modem lights are off, don't enter a remote command because it will cause the TV to freeze and you won't be able to reboot until service is restored.
