Contour DVR says "boot" all the time.

My Contour DVR is saying "boot" all the time now for the last three days.  Lately it has been taking a very long time to update (boot) but it would eventully complete.  Do I need to get a new DVR or does anyone have any suggestions?

You could try Resetting Your Cable Receiver 

The link displays a webpage with 'Reset Your Receiver' button to use 'Cable Connection Reset Tool'.

Thank you for the suggestion that I reset the cable receiver.  I did do that but it did not work so a cable technician came out today and replaced the receiver and it is now working.
