Box Shuts Off

My cable box will shut down if it isn't used for an extended period.  So every morning I literally have to reboot the box.  I haven't changed any settings and it just started after 7 years

Thank you for choosing Cox. I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your cable box . Typically, all contour boxes should automatically reboot depending on the time frame set for the reboot.
