In Cox Call History? "Missed" is if you were on the phone during the call. "Incoming" is your phone rang during the call.
Both entries should not be there unless the call dialed immediately after detecting a busy signal. Some scammers will immediately dial again after detecting a busy signal because it could bypass Nomorobo or a local call-blocker.
Cox should log it as "Missed" each time...if you were on the phone.
Both call history and on the tv caller id. I never answer the phone when unrecognized numbers call and haven't been on the phone anytime this happened. It seems it has been happening only since August 2dt. More calls than usual too - it's just annoying and making me curios.
Try logging into your Cox account and resetting your telephone modem. If you have an all-in-one-device (telephone, Internet and router), reset it. Rebooting would be different than an online reset.
While in your account, check if your telephone setting have Simultaneous Ring enabled. You probably didn't enable this feature but some users have noticed it just enables by default.
I didn't reset but don't have simultaneous ring enabled. The reset is more of a pain than the double calls - which hasn't happened now for a couple days. Maybe it'll just stop just like it all of a sudden started. Thanks for your suggestions and info.
