Worst service ever.

I’m a tech guy. I understand that outages happen. But everything about the service is awful. Constant outages. No transparency. Even this forum works like it’s 20 years old. You guys are so far behind the times. If we had alternative broadband options and you didn’t have a monopoly, you would lose half your customer based overnight.

Horrible customer service. No communication, no backup plan, sign up for texts and only have silence. How about having a hotspot in your stores? Maybe a workspace so we can do our jobs?

Many of your customers work from home and count on you. 

Many of your customers are looking at VZ tonight. Their fiber optic cable is right outside my front door….just saying…

mcclntck, We know a service outage can be difficult and come at a bad time, but unfortunately it can't be avoided. When there is a problem, we have to act right away. All service providers will have some sort of interruptions. We just try to make our repairs as quick and efficient as possible. I have sent an email!  Hoping to have more details soon!  Should I plan on working from home tomorrow?  Or setting my alarm early to drive to a workspace?  

I can understand a few hours of downtime but >24 hours (and counting) is not good. Your customers may be more empathetic if Cox communicates what’s happening and give a realistic downtime/timeframe. 

As a forum moderator, you can’t fix this, but hopefully you can share our frustration at Cox company. 

Also, I lost 4 hours of pay on Tuesday,  will I get a credit on my account?  Probably not, hence more frustration.
