What is the catch. Free camera and light bulb

Went to our Cox store to get a new modem yesterday.  They told me I could also get a free camera and light bulb with a window censor.  Also free installation.  Now I'm concerned I don't believe I signed any 2 year contract so why give it away free? Or isn't it?
