Website Content Blocked

The past week or so I’ve been receiving notifications from the Cox WiFi App that “suspicious content on (device). Tap to view. Only unblock if you trust the site”. The part that has been weird is we will receive these notifications when the device is turned off. Any ideas on what’s happening?

Hi MirandaW. If you are getting this message on the Cox Wifi app, then there is an issue with your TV and you want to  disconnect the TV from the network and then unplug the power to the TV. You may need to do a factory reset on the TV. The best thing is to contact TCL and ask what their recommendations are.  Their phone number is 1-877-300-8837. Most tv's do not power completely off. They go to a low power state, and remain connected to the network, and download updates and such. ALSO, some tv's send information back to manufacturers, to include viewing habits and such. I believe there is currently a lawsuit concerning this.
