Unacceptable wifi
My experience with cox has been HORRIBLE. Let me start by saying i am not planning on keeping this wifi for long, it was only a temporary thing until i get better wifi. I am using the panoramic rental router, and it worked perfectly fine day one, but we are about a week later and it hasnt worked since, AND MY ONLY OPTION IS TO PAY 100$ FOR COX SUPPORT TO COME OUT. Outrageous, and i refuse to pay it because i wont even have this service 3 months from now.

Is it the WiFi that is acting up, or is the modem not staying online? If it's the WiFi, then a computer connected via ethernet would stay online, which would indicate either a bad modem/router, or EMI or RF interference. Interreference is more easily rectified, keep the modem out in the open, raised as high as you can place it. Not behind anything, or under anything. If you have it in a smartbox, move it outside the box, (think faraday cage.)
If it's the modem not staying online, then the problem could either be your coax wiring, or an issue coming up to the home. If it's the inside wiring, then sign up for Cox Complete Care, and it covers the cost of a technician.
