Seasonal Sevice allowed Bandwidth or total shutdown

I am away from my home 4 months at a time.  My Bandwidth  for that period is 18megaBIT/second. It totals 1 GB daily

I believe that bandwidth is  COX polling my UNT and Panoramic WIFI router as well my Blink cameras with a keepalive to the cloud.

Does seasonal service just CAP BANDWIDTH?

How does it actually work?

jeadapp, Security cameras can contribute to high data usage. Some security cameras default to the highest resolution, which uses a lot of data. Lowering the settings can save usage while retaining clear video for security purposes. In-home security cameras that are enabled for remote internet access can contribute to high data usage. Security cameras accessed on your mobile phone cause an increase in usage. Data usage will vary based on the device, number of devices, and extent of use. Third-party home security services over your in-home WiFi network and security cameras accessed over the web cause an increase in usage. Devices that record but are not Web-enabled do not affect data usage.

The baseline internet utilization is 18 megaBIT/sec.  I am trying to understand seasonal sevice and if that tiny bit of data will still work?

Seasonal Data is approximately 10 dollars per month while my service is 50 dollars per month but I am not there but the cameras and COX 2 device monitoting

jeadapp, thank you for clarifying. Here is a link with all the information about our Seasonal Hold option. I hope this helps.

My question is  like homelife

Cox Homelife may not be paused like other services and remains active to keep your home protected. While your internet is paused, customers with Homelife and those with 3rd party cameras and recording devices are supported.

Will my Blink cameras and door bell still work.  Along with COX monitoring my bandwith is a constant 6% of 300 megaBITS/s

jeadapp, I want to communicate with you openly and honestly, as I'd want someone to do for me. Without cellular backup, you will not be able to use/monitor your security cameras while on seasonal hold. You'd have to check your specific device requirements; however, the minimal signal on seasonal is not going to be enough to support the system. I hope this helps you make an informed decision about your service while you are away from home.

Can it support a door bell. Seems it can

The cameras store NO data to the cloud. Just a now and less frequest view when I wis to see what is going on.

My current Bandwidth is 18 megabit /second
