MpfAlert.exe fills up my processes and stops my computer. How do I stop it? I have Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, SP1 with 8GB memory.

My computer slows to a crawl and when I use Task Manager to look, I'll have a number of MpfAlert.exe processes.  When I kill them, the computer starts running again.  How do I stop MpfAlert.exe from running?
