Constant internet outages

I have been a long time Cox customer for over 10 years.

Growing up many years ago, Cox was the BEST internet service provider to have. The speeds were fast and the service was RELIABLE and whenever there was an outage, support would compensate my bill for the month. Due to that level of support that I experienced growing up, I have always recommended and stuck by Cox but sadly that has all changed. I no longer recommend cox and I actively tell people to avoid their internet.

This past year I have had over 300 outages  I am seriously not even over exaggerating the number. I experience an outage almost every single day. Unfortunately I am going to have to part ways as I work from home and the unreliable services make it impossible for me to do my job.

IT IS ALSO EXTREMELY HARD TO CONTACT COX SUPPORT OVER THE PHONE. Any time I call, the automated IVR system states "there is an active outage in your area" and hangs up. Cox support has sadly gone downhill and the past 3 years have been a nightmare.

A line technician came out and stated there was an issue with the line outside but needed to reschedule the visit. On the rescheduled visit, a different technician arrived and didn't even replace the outside line. I also tried upgrading my modem that I rent through cox and also upgraded my services... however I still experience outages about 6 days out of the week.

I contacted a NEW PROVIDER and we are in the process of installing fiber optics. I'm very disappointed with the level of support and the services Cox offers. What happened to the Cox 10 years ago that actually cared about their customers?
