Connection Issues After Isaias

It has been 11 days since my family’s WiFi has gone out due to the recent hurricane. Since then we have seen a grand total of one Cox/Spectrum truck on the roads. We’ve signed up for text notifications, it sent two of the exact same message and I haven’t gotten a new text since. I received an email stating that service would be back by Sunday the 18th, and still nothing. The outage map has actually increased in the amount of outages detected. It went from 4 separate outages in my general area to now having 8. My apartment complex management has been attempting to get the issue resolved, and so have other tenants. The entire complex, including the office, is completely without connection. The one update any of us have gotten from Cox/Spectrum was the email I’ve already mentioned, and the information it provided was false. Honestly if the issue isn’t resolved by Friday I’ll be looking into other providers, I have multiple friends that have swapped to AT&T or Verizon due to this same outage and had 0 issues.

Hello nbarberi200,

Thank you for your business as well as hanging in there with us through this difficult time. We absolutely want you to remain connected and understand wanting updates as they are available. At times when there's a significant storm passing and damage done, there may not be a clear estimation available, but please continue to utilize the Spectrum App or Cox App to check for network alerts and receive SMS text updates. If you find that the outage alert clears and any issues remain, then our support is available and can help investigate. At this moment, the text updates is the best way to check if the network issue is ongoing. Also, you may find that service may return when a network alert is still open, which is a sign that crews are still monitoring or possibly working on repairs afterwards.

If the outage alert clears and issues remain, then our support is available for assistance by phone, online chat, or https://www.facebook.com/Spectrum/ or on X at @Ask_Spectrum for support. Thank you.
-Dustin
