Cancel service

Cox makes it impossible to cancel service. Agents won’t pick up the call or chat. But if you select pause or modify account suddenly someone picks up. Then you say you want to cancel and suddenly get disconnected. It’s ridiculous- just let people cancel their service without a hassle.

cristina23w, I truly apologize that there is a problem canceling service over chat. We also have a number to call to speak to a representative directly. The Phone number is: 888-438-6673, Mon-Fri. 8am-8pm. Sat. 8am-6pm. Service can also be canceled at any Cox Solution Store counter, if you have to return any equipment. Please let us know if you need any additional help or information.

@LatoyaJ

Why did you delete my post?  I advised OP to take all Cox equipment to a Cox store and get a receipt with the date and serial number of all returned equipment.  I advised keeping the receipt in a location where it can be found.  I included a link to the Cox web site that contains serial numbers for Cox equipment.  I also advised OP to contact his bank/credit union to cancel autopay (to prevent his account from being debited in the future).  That's appropriate when canceling any vendor.   I also advised OP to go back to the Cox store with the receipt if Cox attempts to bill again (in case an actual fee is owed).  Lastly, I advised OP to pay any remaining fee owed, get a receipt for the payment and keep it with the receipt for the returned equipment.

What part of that warranted my post being deleted?

CurtB. Apologies. It appears that our system recognized the post as being posted 6 times. The intention was to remove the duplicates, but it seems it removed the one post when we look at the thread natively. You may repost, and we will monitor to ensure accuracy on our part. Sorry for the confusion.
