I can't get connectivity to Cox Mobile even though I received a congratulations text saying my new mobile line was active.

I've read through all the troubleshooting and think I've tried it all.  I chatted with a customer rep and then was escalated to another.  The end result of the last chat was that it might be reception.  I drove to where there should be better reception and while I see more little bars, I can not connect.  I've been messing with this for hours now.  Any ideas?

Hi wmck, we understand you are having trouble with the Cox Mobile service. I'm sure this is frustrating, we can help. Can you please include any error messages you are seeing? What happens when you try a test call or text? Did you have any issues using the steps from the Activation Text you received?

No issues with the steps.  No connectivity.  No errors other than "no internet".    :-(

I started wondering if it's because they haven't hooked up internet service for the account that the mobile phones will be on and there is a message that says "Active Cox Internet service is required to add new Cox Mobile lines."   The representative told me that it wouldn't be an issue to set the phones up before internet, but I'm grasping at straws after hours of dealing with this.  That service will not be installed until next Wednesday.  But for the phone setup, all the other steps worked to transfer me to Cox and I see the phone on the new account.

wmck, thank you for replying. Yes, an active Cox Internet account is needed for Mobile phone service. We can take a look at the account for you. Please feel free to email us at Cox.Help@cox.com, with your name and address.
