Wired speed is good, wireless is 1/10th the speed

I have the preferred internet tier and i noticed the free upgrade this august (thanks cox!). Ever since then my wifi speed has been super slow, 1.3Mbps to be exact while my wired can go up to almost 73Mbps.Now i updated all my drivers, resetted everything, unplugged for 15 seconds and plugged everything back in and checked my wires, and recently bought a new docsis 3.0 modem. My wireless connection says 64Mbps so it's connected to wireless-n with a wpa2 aes key. When i do speed tests both on my phone and laptop (laptop being the slowest and it's a year old) the upload speed is often higher than the download and i have full signal strength since my laptop is 5 feet away from the router. My phone will connect to 4g because it's faster than the wifi. I havent found a solution and again this happened when cox doubled the speeds here in august.
