why has my cable bill doubled in 4 years?

I am proud to say that today I cut the cable.  After being a loyal customer for over 4 years and having my bill double in that time period, enough is enough.  I pay for cable and then sit through 20 minutes of commercials per hour.  This is insanity at best.  good riddance!
