Voice Mail Outage

I believe Cox voice mail got hacked. I have 14 years of being a CIO and have seen a hardware failure las5 n more than two days.  It is o easy to switch out hardware.

On the other hand if the software and databases got wiped out and a time bomb virus set off in the back up files, this kind disaster of almost impossible to recover from

A hint showed up in the first set of instructions asking us to basically set up our voice mail from scratch. This means the existing files and software are not working

By being so circumspect and not coming out and telling the real truth, confidence is lost and may never be recovered. This is a brand killing event.

I have lived with Cox not acting like a true phone company ever since I started.  The issues were minor but the lack of phone reliability in Cox's culture is totally unacceptable.

My wife and I discussed it and if three more days go by we are  looking for another real phone company and not a "wannabe"
