Upload Speeds completely horrible in Las Vegas.
My job revolves around my Upload Speed and the past couple of days it has been absolutely horrible. 3-4 Mbps at most.
There was a major outage in many different Las Vegas areas around midnight Sunday, March 20th, ever since then my Upload speed has been terrible. My download speed is fine at 200-300 (where it should be).
Already had a tech come out, update my filter, I even bought a new modem (because I was told by a Cox representative that it was out of date and should fix the problem). The tech did a speed test on my coaxial cable and it read the speeds I was paying for (Ultimate Package). He then said it was a network issue and he would send in a work order which could take 3-4 weeks to be submitted.
I really have no idea why this is happening, I've tried everything in the book, traceroute, checked for packet loss, everything seems normal.
If this doesn't get resolved quickly I cannot continue to use the Cox service, my job is too dependent on a high upload speed and if I cannot receive it then I will have to look for other options (Centurylink, etc.). I've had no problems with Cox and I've been a customer for many years, this is the first time somethings happened and I'd love to get it resolved quickly.
As I mentioned, the tech did send in a work order, and I've noticed from several posts with the same problem that they were given updates on the ticket. I was wondering if anybody here has access to seeing the progress in my tickets would let me know. Thank you.
