Temp ranges for whole house DVR boxes

What are the temp ranges for both the host and satelite boxes?  I have a satelite box in a cabinet that is over heating.  I do not have old 3 channel record dvr, not the new one.  I am going to buy a fan system.  Need to temp specs????  Thank you
