T3 timeouts common?

Time   Priority   Description 
 Sun Oct 26 07:50:34 2014    Error (4)   DHCP RENEW WARNING - Field invalid in response v4 option;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; 
 Sun Oct 26 00:52:07 2014    Critical (3)   Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; 

This happens every day at my house. Disconnects the signal to my DVR which has become very irritating. I have a direct line into my new SBG6580 modem. The issue is not on my end. It appears this has been an issue for cox customers for quite some time. Is there a resolution that I am unaware of?
