Self-Employment and Data Cap Usage [Upgrade Question]
Hello,
I work from home on Youtube as a full time job and consequentially require a consistent and reliable internet connection. I had previously used Cox right down the street from where I live and never had anyone contact me about data cap usage after being a customer for over seven years.
I'm currently on the Premier Internet plan with a 300GB data cap limit that was hit yesterday on the 28th, where we went over by 2GB. We moved into our new home and had internet installed on the 7th, so that was a good three weeks of usage. If I was to upgrade to the Ultimate plan, the 400GB or so data cap would not be sufficient.
I'm a contracted worker, considered self employed on a 1099. Would a single individual, despite working from home require the Cox Business Internet plan?
Edit: I was offered a $5.00 promo to upgrade my internet tier but it did not specify anything other than an upgrade to a higher tier, but then on the details it said that the exception is for the ultimate tier. Which is the one I'm right below right now.
