RE: Transfer DVD Recording

I'm reporting this post because it won't let me reply! The answer is correct but this needs to be fixed! I have a broken Contour where HDMI output doesn't work. I have to use analog but I'm stuff with 100's of hours of recordings that I don't want to lose.

Content licensing prohibits this option unfortunately.  Some have had success using the firewire port to connect to a PC however not all content will permit this either.
