RE: Introducing Contour, the new personal video experience
This domino guy, while apparently well educated, is not participating in this support community in a way that would encourage Cox customers or potential customers to utilize it.
I just found this thread today and have spent the last hour or so reading through all the posts and it's obvious this domino person is both disrespectful and argumentative. Because he is so prolific in his posting in this forum and presents such strong positions on various topics, no doubt some of your customers perceive domino as an official Cox employee.
While virtually everyone else is on this thread trying to discuss and work out solutions to a product that even Cox admits is having some growing pains, it is only domino who so strongly fights for the honor of Contour and fails so many times to respect the valid points of other members.
Please reply with reasons why domino is allowed to continue participating here. Thank you

You already suggested that; I pointed out that I shouldn't need to buy something additional to turn off a feature that appears to be adding no value. Why are you saying the same thing again?
I guess I need to draw a picture: Use the CEC disabled HDMI cable INSTEAD OF the normal one. Next time you need a normal HDMI cable, you'll already have one.
Problem->solution->yeah, but..but...I don't like that solution. [As your initial post indicates, you'd rather disable the CEC in your other devices.] Do what you want. The fact that so many CEC disabling products exist makes me believe it's not just a problem with the 9865HDC.
