NEATGEAR WNR 2000 connection lost

I recently moved my internet provider to Cox. We have the Netgear WNR 2000 wireless router. For several morning now the wireless connection has been lost. I am using a Mac OSX 10.8.4

I cannot connect to my assigned network until I have turned off the router and restarted it.

Is this a normal thing that I will have to do each morning?
