Mail Forwarding and Mail Bounce update

I have been sending daily test messages from my gmail account to my cox account.  The good news is e-mail apparently is not all lost. I started receiving forwarded messages to my gmail account from the 19th and 20th this morning and am not getting mail sent to the cox account bounced.  Hopefully the system is on the mend.
