Is blocking not working on the emails being retrieved from the outage?

I did not realize that I would be getting emails notifying me of EVERY reply to a thread I posted in this forum. I have now unsubscribed from each thread but have gotten about 60 emails from before the unsubscribe and more are coming in.

So I blocked the address cox-notification@coxforums.com but the darn things are still coming in - is blocking not working on these retrieved emails??????
