DNLA Play

I'm trying to get the DNLA feature to work.  My network devices can see the Cisco server and the recordings but nothing has been able play back any content.  I have tried with an assortment of devices and software on Windows 8, iPad and a Panasonic BluRay (DMP-BTD220) player with built in DLNA client.

The Cicso box indicates I need the MoCA password to enable streaming but nothing has prompted me to input this information.

I went to the DNLA.org site and tried the media player listed for Windows but it had the same problem.

The Cicso box is on my home network and has an IP address that is appropriate.

What exactly from a software, codec, plug-in or app perspective do I need to have to play the content back in my environment (Windows 8, iPad, iPhone)?

The MoCA password is only needed  if you're going to use an Ethernet to MoCA bridge to connect the DVR's to your router.  Windows 8 as far as I know is not compatible.  So far only the Playstation 3 has been tested and known to work by us however you may have luck getting it working so long as your DLNA device support DTCP-IP.  Here's more on the topic:

OK, so the Cox DLNA is Playstation 3 only?  Unfortunately I don't have a Playstation 3.  My network connection is from the Cicso box to an ethernet switch using the ethernet port on the box itself.

Is there a way to get updates when options other than the Playstation 3 are available?

The connections as you have them described are identical to how I have mine setup.  The issue is once you have the box connected to your home data network playback of content will only work on devices that support DLNA and DTCP-IP.  As of yet we've only tested the Playstation 3 however other devices may work provided they meet these requirements.  I did try Windows Media Player and can confirm that it does not work with this setup.
