cox.com my connection page

The look of the My Connection page at Cox.com was updated/changed not long ago and since then I've had a noticeable and annoying lag between information entered and it being displayed on screen. 

Example:  When logging into My Account & Services (WebMail) from the My Connection page I experience a 20-30 sec. lag from keyboard to screen display.  This seems to be directly related to the image rotator box that contains continuously revolving news, sports and other info (left side of page).

Can I stop the image rotator box from revolving (moving)? 

I'm on a Gateway LT Series 2G Ram/222G memory Netbook.
