Cox Homepage Ad choices complaint

Does Cox put any thought to the ads they allow to be embedded on their homepage, right under the log in?  I help my parents and my in-laws when they have computer issues, and seeing those "click here" ads right below the log in has caused them to install some stuff that isn't always easy to get rid of.  Optimize your download speeds and Update your media player are 2 recent ones I noticed.
