Clock or Channel display ?

I have a Contour 2 XG1-A DVR.  It always shows the time on the DVR.  

Every set top box or DVR I've ever had in the past had a option to choose to show either the clock OR to show the Channel.  Is there a way now?  I have plenty of clocks in the room, but only one DVR and I want to know what channel is showing without searching for the remote a clicking on buttons.
