Cisco DPQ3212 Dropping Internet/Phone connection
I recently upgraded my modem to the new Cisco modem that supports DOCSIS 3. Ever since I installed the new modem my connection will drop, several times a day. The old modem worked flawlessly. I noticed that the "DS" light on the front turns from green to orange when the drops are about to start. I pulled the stats below from the modem info page, the first one was from this morning after I unplugged and made sure all the connections were tight (approx 7am ET). The second set of info is from the first drop of the day which occurred approx 9:15am ET. Also, my computer and router were turned off/back on when I was doing the modem physical connection checking. I called Cox and they said that a tech needs to come out and "tweak" my signal - when I pressed for more info on exactly what the "tweak" entailed I didn't get any info. The person also said they saw "signal problems" ("Duh"), but couldn't/wouldn't explain what tools they were using to get that info.
Can anyone shed light on what's going on here?
