Can Solutions Store help with setting up an iPhone for email?

I despise any kind of web mail and have to have an email client to work with my email accounts.  I followed the automated setup built into iOS and it passed the settings test.  Mail pulls down the messages from the Cox server, so I have username and password set correctly. BUT...it fails on any send.  The error message is

Cannot Send Mail the username or password "my username@smtp.cox.net" is incorrect

Does Cox Email work at all with iOS devices?  Am I going to have to use a different client?

Yes, Cox email does work with iOS devices.  You user name is not "my username@smtp.cox.net" it should just be your user name without the @smtp.cox.net.  Go into settings/Mail, Contacts ..../your Cox account.  Tap the account and it should bring up the Account screen.  Tap SMTP/smtp.cox.net, the settings should be:

Host Name: smtp.cox.net
User Name: your username (no @ or server name)
Password: your password
Use SSL: on
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 587

Those settings work, but if you are looking for someone to help you configure your iphone, then you probably want to contact apple. If you just need help with the settings, then Cox can help.

I know about the user name.  I used "my username" as an example.  I wasn't going to post my real one on a public forum.

I think the port number is wrong looking at your example, so I'll change it to what you have there.  If it keeps failing, I'll

have to use a different client
