Almost every single day, something is not working and I don't watch TV a lot on any given day
Very frustrating. I'm a new customer, I have the 'Countour' level. I have 2 TV's, two boxes and the ability to record up to 6 (?) programs at the same time between the 2 TV's.
1. I work from home and I like to have the TV on in the next room with CNBC going. Not every day but the majority of the days, at some point the TV just turns off and the screen says no signal. I have to power off and power back on.
2. I can rarely turn on the TV successfully. Different COX employees have told me at least 3 different procedures. What most consistently work is the following dance: 1. press cable 2. press power 3. press TV 4. press power. And be sure not to let more than a few seconds elapse between these 4 steps or else you have to start all over again.
Really? Where I used to live (the land of Cablevision), you simply pressed power and the TV comes on - no delays, no disconnects.
3. On the upstairs TV, where I tend to watch pre recorded shows, more times then not when I press DVR list I get a message saying 'sorry, it's not available right now try again later'. OR, even more annoying, I start to watch a program and then it freezes half way through and I end up just powering off and then back on but I still can't get back in.
I pay extra for this capability, it's very frustrating and really not fair.
Guess what, the TV is on in the next room and it just stopped - not kidding!, There is an error message on the scree now that says:
"NO SIGNAL
1. Check the cable connections and the settings of your source device.
2. Press source on your remote...." bla bla bla
